What They Don’t Tell You About The Self Love Movement : The Christian Daily Devotional — by Alfred
Note: Read The Whole Thing Or Don’t Read It At All.
Mark 12:31 KJV
And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these.
If you have a pulse, you’ve probably heard a celebrity or a public figure talking about Self Love. You can’t get past it. It’s the new “Follow Your Dreams” cliche speech that every public personality loves to give.
The people of the world preaching Self Love is now a big part of culture and not many pause to ask where do ideologies that dominate culture come from and what was the purpose behind whoever formed and successfully marketed their ideology to the world, especially in cases where they didn’t their name on it as the originator of the ideology.
Well, the same people & channels of mass programming/ indoctrination that brought you the current push for Mental Health Awareness in society are the same people & channels of mass programming/ indoctrination responsible for the Self Love movement.
Although the individuals behind the scenes may be blurry, understanding what Self Love is would help you understand who’s behind it.
Self Love promotes people loving themselves.
That seems innocent on the surface but when you look a little further; the veil falls off the monster.
Self Love is about putting yourself above others. It’s about putting yourself first. It’s about looking out for number one. It’s about putting your interests above & before others interests.
Self Love is Selfishness.
Self Love is Satan trying to make Selfishness a Virtue to this generation and the next. Thus, creating a very Satanic world because with everyone looking out for only themselves, everyone would be acting like devils to others (James 3:16).
God said we should love others like we love ourselves. Guess why, because we have no problem with loving ourselves. It’s not difficult for us to love ourselves. We don’t need anyone to tell us to love ourselves. We just love ourselves by default (Ephesians 5: 29–30). It’s abnormal not to love ourselves.
That’s why God told us to love others like we love ourselves. He knew we’ll always love ourselves. He didn’t need to tell us to do so. He knew we’ll always love ourselves by default. How much do we love ourselves? A whole lot. So much so that if everybody in the world loves others the same way they love themselves there would be no problems in this world.
That’s how much we love ourselves.
You may say, well what about people who commit suicide. They obviously don’t love themselves.
Well you are wrong. People who commit suicide love themselves, they don’t hate themselves.
Why do people commit sucide?
People commit sucide because of how unhappy with life they are, because of the pain they are going through whether emotional, physical, or mental pain. People commit sucide because they can’t take the suffering anymore.
You’ve never seen anyone happy with their life commit sucide. If they’re happy with their life, nothing will make them want to put an end to their life. If there’s no pain, suffering, or unhappiness that they feel is too much to bear; they won’t even think of committing suicide.
People commit sucide to escape the suffering and pain. If they hated themselves they wouldn’t want to escape. They’ll want to continue in the suffering.
It is because they love themselves that they want to escape what’s hurting them. They want to put an end to the pain they’re going through.
The problem is they see sucide as the only way out. They see sucide as the only way to escape. They don’t know there’s another way. That way’s name is Jesus.
No matter what trouble you’re in. No matter what pain you’re in. No matter how much suffering you’re going through. No matter how difficult & heavy the burdens you bear are. Jesus is your way out. Just give him your burdens. Give him your pain, your suffering, your sickness, your grief. Give it all to him.
Give your life to him and he’ll save you.
Pray to God and tell him you want to have him in your life.

Prayer:
Dear God, thank you for what you’ve taught me today. I choose to walk the path of righteousness. I choose to walk in the light of your word. The Joy of the Lord is my strength. Hallelujah. I am full of joy. I choose to be happy. Nothing can make me unhappy. Nothing can make me afraid, for perfect love casts out fear. Thus, I am fearless because you love me, and I commit myself to spreading your love. Hence, filling people with joy and chasing away suicidal thoughts from people everywhere I go. In Jesus Name. Amen.
